What's in your Pantry?
I never really had a pantry until we moved to our new home two years ago.
Ever since then I’ve been enjoying stocking it with different healthy (and not so much) goodies. It also makes a perfect hiding place from one tiny messy monster, a.k.a. my almost 2-year-old toddler 😊
I think your pantry is worth a discussion because, if you’re like me, that closet is a #1 destination for a hungry tummy. Whatever is in there can make all the difference in our health and fitness goals. That’s why I want to share my staples with you and encourage you to share yours with me in the comments.
Let’s start, shall we?
Grains and Cereals
Old fashioned rolled oats
Brown rice (short and long grain)
Lentils, green and red
Red wheat berries
Buckwheat (only if I can find it in a European store)
Nature’s Path Heritage Flakes (my personal favorite!)
Cascadian Farm Fruitful O’s (a treat I sometimes give to my toddler)
Cascadian Farm Raisin Bran
All sorts of beans: black, navy, pinto, garbanzo, kidney, etc.
Pumpkin puree (I use it for my oatmeal)
Coconut milk, regular and light versions
Tomato sauce, different varieties
Whole wheat spaghetti
Whole wheat orzo
Red lentil pasta (my son’s favorite)
Angel hair (my hubby can’t live without it)
Crackers and chips
Lundberg Thin Stackers (red rice and quinoa is my favorite!)
Unbleached wheat flour
Pink Himalayan salt
Other good stuff
Orgain protein powder + greens (vanilla and chocolate flavors)
Dark chocolate (can't live without it!)
Tea and Coffee
Coffee: always Fair Trade
A large variety of organic herbal, oolong, green and black teas. Tulsi is one of my absolute favorites!
Oh, and of course we've got to always have two bags of Hampton Farms unsalted roasted peanuts (my husband’s guilty pleasure lol).
